SIGNAL: Connect AI visibility with the questions buyers ask.
SIGNAL brings buyer questions, AI answer observations, cited sources and referral reporting into a focused visibility workspace. It helps teams inspect where a brand appears, understand the supporting sources and organize the next research or content decision.

What it does
- Visibility matrix and project workspace for organizing buyer-question coverage.
- Observation structure linking questions, answer engines, dates, methods and cited sources.
- AI-referral views that place visibility alongside visits and conversion context.
Why it matters
Gives teams a structured basis for prioritizing visibility work and assessing its relevance to buyer discovery.
- Ahrefs’ own AI-search referral, not SIGNAL results
- 12.1% of signupsAhrefs, June 16, 2025: 0.5% of visits over 30 days. Signups are not revenue; this is industry context.
- questions, named engines and dated checks in the planned diagnostic
- 8 × 3 × 2Planned service scope, not forty-eight completed observations or proven revenue uplift.

Which AI answers mention you, and which visits turn into buyers?Source & context
No measured SIGNAL client revenue uplift was supplied. The separately attributed Ahrefs figures are industry context, not SIGNAL outcomes.
Existing public product images reviewed October 27, 2026. These are not current provider-health or transaction checks. Public release and client-material clearance remain separate.
Method outline: agreed questions, dated observations, cited sources and human-reviewed actions.

Track the path from answer to visit to conversion
A mention is not a sale. The useful operating path is to agree buyer questions, capture dated answers, inspect the cited sources, then examine identifiable referral and conversion evidence before prioritizing an action.
Why the commercial question matters
In its June 16, 2025 own-site study, Ahrefs reported 0.5% of visits and 12.1% of signups from AI search over a thirty-day window, with a 23-times conversion-per-visit comparison against traditional organic search. These are Ahrefs’ figures, not SIGNAL’s results and not revenue.
Do not turn an industry into a promise
Ahrefs’ separate analysis of 81,947 sites in May–June 2025 found more mixed user behavior, including shallower browsing and more bounces from AI referrals. The relevant claim is that referral quality is worth measuring, not that every business will receive the same uplift.

Discuss the bounded diagnostic
Start with the buyer questions and evidence your business needs to review. The existing application-only diagnostic scope is unchanged.
